Butin Integrated Communications is ecstatic to announce about being selected as a finalist for “Small PR Firm of the Year” in PR News’ 2018 Platinum PR & Agency Elite Awards competition.
The award from PR News – whose publications and programs serve the communications, public relations and marketing professions – recognizes the best small PR agency out of entrants from across the United States.
Established in 2005, Butin continues to grow as a Southeastern-based PR agency, with a roster that includes both national and regional clientele. We are headquartered on St. Simons Island, Georgia, and we also have a significant PR operation in Charlotte, North Carolina. In terms of Charlotte PR agencies, we are the only outfit with such a direct connection to the Carolinas to achieve finalist status in PR News’ “Small PR Firm” category. We expanded to the Charlotte area more than three years ago, and more than half of the agency’s staff now work out of the Charlotte PR office, making it the company’s largest brick-and-mortar location.
Our specialties include marketing communications strategy, social media planning and execution, influencer marketing, national and grassroots media relations, special events and crisis/reputation management.
“Since the inception of this agency, we’ve been committed to staying ahead of the trends, being better at what we do – not simply bigger – and developing the best talent available for our clients,” said company founder and CEO Mary Butin. “We’re proud to serve clients around the country from our PR operations on St. Simons Island and in Charlotte. In fact, Charlotte has become a big hub for us – the talent and vibrancy of the city has proven an excellent source of energy for the agency, and we’re honored to now be among the premiere group of PR agencies in the Queen City.”
The agency has succeeded by staying at the forefront of consumer behavior, Mary Butin explained. “And that’s quite a challenge in today’s hyper-social, media-driven world… We’ve managed to stay keenly focused on activity within the consumer-packaged goods and travel-and-lifestyle industries. We also pride ourselves on deep client relationships built over time through quality, tangible, goal-oriented solutions and results. Our award-winning work is testament to the right combination of bright, creative young professionals and seasoned communications veterans that we’ve carefully assembled.”
Many of our largest clients have been with the agency for more than eight years, and more than 90 percent of the firm’s existing business is referral-based, Mary pointed out.
In recognition of its outstanding multiyear, double-digit growth rates, the agency has been named four times to the “Bulldog 100,” a roll call of the fastest-growing companies that are either owned or managed by graduates of the University of Georgia. We are in the running again for that honor, for our performance in 2017.
For the Platinum Awards from PR News, we also have been nominated in the Blog category – for the website “Dish on Fish,” which the agency created and manages in partnership with The National Fisheries Institute, a client based in suburban Washington. DishonFish.com last June was ranked No. 1 on content reader Feedspot’s list of the “Top 100 Seafood Blogs and Websites for Seafood Lovers in 2018.”
