While eyeing talent growth in Charlotte, the 14-year-old PR shop continues to build upon its roster of national and regional clients
CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 28, 2019 – Butin Integrated Communications, an award-winning marketing communications agency specializing in the food, travel, and lifestyle industries, is already seeing record growth in 2019, and the book on the first quarter is barely even closed.
Its latest successes come on the heels of an attention-getting 2018 for Butin, when it was the only agency with a direct connection to the Carolinas to achieve finalist status in the Small PR Firm category of PR News’ Platinum PR Agency Elite Awards. The firm’s client campaigns earned the agency some impressive hardware last year, including a prestigious Queen City PR Award of Excellence, in the Integrated Communications category, and a separate PR News Platinum PR Award, in the Blog category.
Established in 2005, Butin continues to grow as a Southeastern-based agency that boasts a mix of national and regional clientele. The firm expanded to the Charlotte area more than three years ago to capitalize on the city’s burgeoning young talent pool, as well as its accelerated economic growth in the marketing and PR sectors.
“Through new business development and talent recruitment, we’ve been laying the groundwork lately for further growth and greater accomplishment,” said Mary Butin, the company’s founder and CEO. “We’ve really hit a nice stride coming into 2019. I’m very proud of what we’ve already achieved so early in the year.”
The agency hit the ground running in January with the addition of three new clients – Florida-based USSSA (the United States Specialty Sports Association), which is the world’s largest multisport athletic organization, Ohio-based Minerva Dairy, America’s oldest family-owned creamery, and bestselling author and women’s health expert Dr. Anna Cabeca, who operates out of Georgia.
“We’re honored to have the opportunity to serve these new partners – it’s a chance to share our philosophy of high-touch service with another set of distinctive brands that have dynamic stories to tell,” Mary Butin continued. “In the meantime, we’re adding new faces to our team. Expanding and diversifying our talent, particularly in Charlotte, is a big focus for us this year.”
Butin has offices in Charlotte and on St. Simons Island, Georgia. The agency plans to add more positions in the Charlotte location this year, Mary Butin said.
